Our planning had figured Puno to be a stop-over and that the bus ride from Puno to Cusco would be lengthy and somewhat dull. Poor planning, I suppose. Puno is quite a vibrant place and would be well worth some time to explore. I especially liked the activity on the lake: birds, fishermen, boats. The Peruvian side of Lake Titikaka seemed to be much more active than the Bolivian side. As it was, Ray was feeling a bit under the weather, so we did not even venture out much to explore.
