This magnificent vessel, built in 1978 for cadet training, is the pride of the Colombian Navy, and regularly visits foreign countries with "tall ship" regattas. My only regret is that I wasn't able to see it under sail. The hill behind is "La Popa", surmounted by a shrine which has been visited by Pope John Paul II.
