Road trip in Australian outback.

I had to make a trip to the north of South Australia, to outback regions. Most photos were taken from my daughters car while we were on the move. It was 43 degrees Celsius ( 110 Fahreheit ) with a hot dry north wind. On the way home it was quite dusty due to the wind. The round trip was around 850 kms in very hot conditions.

Reason
Hi Ruthie,

It was put here as a museum piece to the shipbuilding industry in Whyalla. I think it was one of the first ships built in Whyalla.

Redgums
Yes Gung Gung the large trees are what I think are Redgums a Eucalypt. The smaller ones I'm not sure what they are. The Kangaroos usually come out at night due to the heat. We left so we would not encounter them, they tend to do a lot of damage to cars. We saw several dead Kangaroos that had been hit, mostly by Semitrailers.

How come I didn't see a single 'roo hopping around out there? Amazing sight to see that ship on dry land. It's enough to sober any drunken sailor!
