Kata Tjuta, or The Olgas, are a group of 36 large rock domes that lie about 40 km away from Uluru. Visitors are not allowed to climb any of them, and since there are several sacred sites that the Aborigines still use, access is somewhat limited. But there are a few hikes that you can take around and through a few of the domes. We did the longest, the 4.6 mile (7.4 km) Valley of the Winds trail. It was another tough hike but it gave a great view of the neato domes.
