That in the background is a typical Coober Pedy neighborhood. All the houses are built into the hill. Crazy. Oh, and one more word about the museum. There was a film we watched about the discovery of opals and the opal mining industry, and it was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. There were actors with funny moustaches, men dancing around with each other after discovering opals, and very dramatic music and monologues. If I had had any money left at that point I would have bought myself a copy. Priceless.
