I bookended a January 2006 business trip to Silicon Valley with a bit of regional hiking and sightseeing. Highlights included Joseph D Grant County Park, the marshlands at the southern end of San Francisco Bay, redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains, and a natural bridge on the Pacific coast.
