A Small Collection of Photos from the Hermitage in St Petersburg!

The Hermitage is one of the most famous museums in the world and has one of the largest collections of fine art anywhere. It/s buildings consist of the Winter Palace, the Small Hermitage, the Large Hermitage, the New Hermitage and Hermitage Theatre. Now the General Staff Headquarters will added and be made available to house many collections that are presently in storage.

Thanks so much, Carole! Two hours in the Hermitage is not NEARLY enough! Did you know, there is now a big new (old?) bldg. addition to the Hermitage, directly across the st.? Also, there is now a website (or will be?) www.hermitagemuseum.org, which will show all 3 million artefacts in the Museum? (set up by IBM)? This will save many of us going there in person!
