In July 2003 I took a trip to Great Britain and Iceland. This included a four-night stay in Glasgow so that I could explore some sites in the area tied to my ancestors. My great great great grandparents were married in Govan, now an industrial neighborhood in Glasgow. Once a thriving shipbuilding community, I found a neighborhood where most businesses were boarded up.
