In the Spring of 2003, I had the opportunity to study abroad through the community college I was attending. The experience allowed me to see things from a new perspective while learning life lessons I could never learn in my native country. Unlike a simple "vacation", I was able to use the experience to learn about language, biology, sociology and politics.

Sadly, with the budget cuts my school has gone through, study abroad programs have been drastically cut. They no longer offer Spring in Costa Rica. I feel fortunate to ... (more)
