He stands pretty much where the original did before it was moved to Galleria dell'Accademia. This inferior copy (you'll notice that this David is circumcised) gets a lot of cameras aimed at it because of its location. But more than a few folks leave Florence without realizing this is not the authentic David. (btw, made you look!)
