A cargo cult is alive and well and surviving nicely in Tanna, Vanuatu. They believe in "John Frum" who appeared to them in 1936 and predicted the arrival of cargo. They mixed this with their tribal beliefs and it was all reinforced by the arrival of US forces in WWII. This was the "First Coming" for them and they now await the second coming. They say that Christians have been waiting 2,000 years for the second coming and for them it is a mere 60 years.
