These pictures are from a 4-day trip to Nice in late February 2006. We were there for Carnivale which was quite an experience. It rained for one day but the weather was otherwise very nice, if not quite as warm as we had hoped. We took a day-trip and stopped first in the tiny town of Villefranche sur Mer which was beautiful and then continued on to Monaco. Villefranche was about 10 minutes from Nice by train and Monaco was about 20 minutes further on, so it's quite an easy day-trip. Visiting small towns just outside Nice, and ... (more)
