Middlezoy is a small village in the area of Sedgemoor on the Somerset levels. It is an old village situated on a small hill above the low lying land that used to flood regularly. Middlezoy was mentioned in the Doomesday Book of 1086, and has an ancient church occupying a prominant location on the highest point of the hill, which can be seen from many miles away.
