Pictures taken during the 31th of December and the 6th of January. In Lapland, Saariselkä, Laanila, Kaunispää and surroundings. There is no sun this time of the year, but snow gives lots of light and magic atmosphere and colors.

thes photos are fascinating. if doctors say me "you have just 6 months after you are going to die Iwould want to see polar nights" I am from turkey and nobody knows how to go polars Iwould be very happy if somebody tells me how to go there. thank you for these photos.

Exceptional photographs! At first I thought that you were using some fairly long exposure times to capture limited light. The shots of the person walking however, would seem to discount that theory. Could you give an example of your exposure settings? (I checked out some of your other articles. You are also quite talented when the sun is shining!)
