No matter what time of the year it is there is always something happening in and around the Gallup, New Mexico area. As soon as spring has officially begun the rodeos will start. In early May there is the Cinco De Mayo Festival. Soon after that, on Memorial Day, the nightly Indian Dances begin. These beautiful dances are held in the square just a few yards east of the Amtrak/Greyhound Depot and they are free to all who wish to come and enjoy them.
