I guess our love of boating started here in 1964, in Kenilworth, a suburb north of Chicago. We bought this sailboat that weighed less than 30 pounds. It was made from polystyrene and cost less than $100, and it got a lot of use on Lake Michigan, a five block bicycle ride from our home. We lived here for only four years, but we certainly got bit by the boat bug as you'll soon see.
