<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> CONVENT of the Holy Name of Jesus<br> Sightseeing in Perak picture - on Brewster Rd, opened in 1907. This front block (1927), which faces Brewster Rd, is the finest building in the complex. The middle block was completed in 1929 &#38; the back block in 1935. The blocks are linked together by a maze of corridors &#38; covered galleries forming a sports/games quadrangle. Note the neo-Gothic arches &#38; the trefoil-shaped window openings with timber shutters on this front block. At one time a magnificent chapel occupied 1/3 of this block but it has since been removed. Sadly, nearby commercial construction in 1993 caused fatal cracks to buildings in this historic complex &#38; it was later sold to a developer. </div></nolayer></noembed>
