Ohio calls itself the Cradle of Presidents, and several sites related to the 8 Ohio men who have held the office dot the state. And now there is a site dedicated to their wives, the First Ladies National Historic Site, a newer National Park Service site in Canton. While in Dayton in November 2004, I took a day trip to Canton to see it (alas, it was closed when I was there), stopping along the way to visit presidential sites associated with Warren G. Harding and William McKinley.
