Pisgah National Forest, NC

Pisgah National Forest has been a favorite destination of our family for years. We are never disappointed and have always found a new trail or waterfall so that it is never the "same old place". Our kids have hiked with us since they were 3 and 4 years old and there are plenty of family friendly places to see. It is the people who simply drive through the area that are really missing out. Courthouse Creek
Loved the pictures! We just got back from the Pisgah Inn last night - trying to find some cooler weather. Our mission was to see waterfalls, even if it meant having to walk a little in the heat. The last one we tried to see was Courthouse Creek Falls. Courthouse Creek Rd. is open at this point, though that bridge looks like it could flood again in any rain. I had read that by walking back on a "well-marked" trail .25 we would find aome falls. When a closed gate told us our drive in was over, we walked more than that without seeing or hearing falls. Have you seen or heard of them? The creek was beautiful though. Will try some of the ones you mentioned that we didn't visit next year when we go back.
