Apparently before the days of imported fruit in cans they used to grow pineapples here. I've photographed the signs on the building so you can read all about it.

The Dunmore Pineapple

This bizarre building is located roughly half way between Stirling and Falkirk in Central Scotland. I found it quite by chance. I was driving in the area and just had to divert when I saw a roadsign to "The Pineapple".
