Of course, the Crown wanted a medium which will carry the King or Queen's voice throughout its dominion. Better yet, a moving picture is even more desirable. Hence, this call was bestowed upon Britain's finest minds a.k.a. "the scientists" which the kingdom had lots of! This call was betterly known as "the Westminster Project" & James Clerk Maxwell rose to the occasion. *Even when he was only 2, he found out that he could use a tin plate to bounce an image of the sun off the furniture & make it dance against the walls. As the parents arrived to the scene, he cried: "It's the sun, I got it with the tin plate." Such a cute incident may have very well laid the foundation for his "inquiry" into nature via the sciences. Or perhaps that cute incident may have very well demonstrated an inquisitive mind that shows promises of brilliance in the future. Well, James Clerk Maxwell is more than brilliance. He was a work of art!
