In Aug. & Sept. 1977, 2 remarkable spacecraft named "Voyagers I & II" were launched by NASA. Its primary mission was to explore & photograph the outer planets of Jupiter, Saturn, & etc After that, they will slowly leave our solar system & cruise space for eons of time. It is a journey that may last for several "light years" (i.e. millions to billions of years) as that's how vast the universe really is! By far the most complex & informative of all our attempts to communicate with other possible intellegence out there in the cosmos, these spacecrafts contains pictures & sounds explaining our planet & ourselves Also, it contains greetings in 54 different languages including the sound of humpback whales since animals represents our planet too & not just as humans. Overall, Voyagers I & II are emmissaries of Earth to the realm of the stars *Carl Sagan was the chairman & executive producer of the Voyager Record Committee
