These photos are from a weekend trip I took to La Rochelle in late March. La Rochelle is on the Atlantic coast of France just about 2.5 hours north of Bordeaux by train. The weather was really nice. The second day was so warm we even had breakfast and lunch at outside cafes! It was a bit cloudy but no rain. This was a great time to visit as it was not yet high season. In the summer the small town and the islands are practically overrun with tourists and beach-goers. A great place for a quiet get-away in the off season.
