After a Winter that wasn't terribly cold but just seemed to linger on way past its "best before" date, Spring finally arrived in Ottawa and Gatineau, suddenly during the first week of May. This year, fortunately, its arrival just coincided with the start of the Tulip Festival, which features over three million tulips planted in half a dozen selected locations, plus many others all around the region that are not part of the "official " plan.
