Nha Trang, one of Vietnam's premier seaside resorts and a favorite vacation spot for well-off Vietnamese as well as an increasing number of foreigners, is 440 kms north of Saigon. Established as a port town in the 1920s, Nha Trang now has a population of about 300,000, but it still retains a small town atmosphere.
