<noembed><nolayer><div style="position:absolute; left:0; top:-100; display:none;"> Grand Canyon, AZ<br> Scenery in United States picture - &#34;The Canyon, incised by the Colorado River, is immense, averaging 4,000 feet deep for its entire 277 miles. It is 6,000 feet deep at its deepest point and 15 miles at its widest.&#34; - In other words, it&#39;s one BIG, HONKING CANYON! The canyon is 5-6 million years old, and is still being created by the Colorado River, and water run-off down the canyon walls. Actually, that&#39;s not so long in geologic time: the Earth itself is almost ten times that old. There have been a number native American tribes that have lived in the vicinity of the canyon. Currently, only the Hulapai live in the canyon itself. The canyon is best viewed either early or late in the day. During the day, the bright sun tends to wash out the colors and there is a light haze that hangs over it. The haze is due to pollution blown in from the West. </div></nolayer></noembed>
