These beautiful horses, one a palomino and one a pinto, were encountered along a back road between Bluff, UT and Mesa Verde, CO. During our trip, we saw many horses but none being ridden. These were obviously healthy and well-fed. Others we saw were rawboned, foraging on their own among sparse desert vegetation.
