The term "Aztec" for this ruin was introduced by early settlers. It's actually a puebloan indian ruin. Shown here is only the large central kiva. The ruin itself, just the other side of the kiva, was about a hundred yards long, had about 500 rooms and went up three stories. It too was abandoned long ago .
