Oak Creek Canyon provides a scenic approach to Sedona when driving from Flagstaff. You decend a couple of thousand feet from the Colorado Plateau along a series of steep swithchbacks. Once in the canyon, you follow the creek while driving between the canyon walls to Sedona. Many campsites are located along the road.
