Burgundy is known for its rich food, wine and history. Many of the areas where we traveled had strong medieval flavor in its architecture, places we imagined once had water flowing through the moats, with sentries in the towers overlooking the fortified walls. We also visited and drove through some very pastoral areas, dotted with color from the fall changes.
