Why would anyone want to hobble a camel in the middle of nowhere? That's what I thought until I discovered that camels can cover, even hobbled, a considerable distance in search of something to munch. I was once told my camel guide that camels always walk in a straight line although the following morning he seemed to be running all over the dunes trying to find my haughty white friend.
