The longest camel trek I have done (twice) is 5 days; the first 3 days were great and the last 2 days were not because on the morning of day 4 I realized that I had gone way beyond my comfort zone and all I wanted was a long hot soak in a tub. That said, I would not have missed one moment of the experience. If you ever do an extended camel trek I recommend that you walk on the flat hammada and only ride on the sandy dunes; if you don't you will understand why!
