Nova Bana’s back country became a scene of the Dogsled Slovak Championship on January 17th and 18th this year. The countryside was covered with snow and the championship took place in Drozdovo, the most important local winter holiday resort, located 10 km NW from the town center, in a highland with excellent conditions also for other winter sports such as downhill skiing, cross-country skiing, horse riding and snow scooter riding.
