These photos are from a visit to Zagreb in late April/early May '06. There was a brief cold/cloudy snap that lasted, unfortunately, for our entire visit. Despite the weather we still thoroughly enjoyed the city. It was beautiful and felt really lived in, not so much of a museum for tourists like Prague or Venice. The historical part of the city is well-preserved and taken care of. The people all over Croatia are incredibly welcoming and friendly and Zagreb is no exception. We stayed in a hostel call Ravnice Youth Hostel which was great. A bit out of the city but the public transportation in Zagreb is excellent and runs 24hours a day so this was no problem. I highly recommend a visit to Zagreb.
