The first photo is a shot of a small project I engaged in while down in the Katrina-affect Gulf Coast area. I stayed in "The Village," a tent community run by the AmeriCorps Emergency Response Team out of St. Louis. This was down the street from a section of Davis Avenue, where my father grew up. No one knew I was coming, but everyone recognized my Daddy's face on me. I would go on walks to the family graveyard and local Catholic church, finding all sorts of stuff in the rubble.
