Hi, great narration and beautiful pictures. We relived every moment of our trip. We were just catching up on new articles (on India) after a long time and were just generally talking that we now have almost 20+ articles on J&K. We were the first ones to post our trip to Bharatpur & then our biking trip to Leh-Laddak way back in '02 and we had mentioned - what a pity, one of the most beautiful places on earth and hardly and articles.... and now look at so many of them. Do find time to go through our postings sometime...

You shouldn't have ventured into the difficult terrains of Kinnaur and Spiti with a Corsa. Had it been a 4x4 , i think, u could have made it to Chandratal. That's not an excuse though becoz u could have trekked all the way to Chandratal which is worth visiting (at any cost). Another thing that, i think, u shouldn't have missed are the cave paintings at Tabo. Not many people know abt them. Those paintings dates back to the 10 th century (maybe even older than that). It is becoz of these paintings that Tabo is known as 'The Ajanta of the Himalayas'.

I got to know abt many things from ur writing that i didn't know before. I have been to Lahul and Spiti before, but have never been to Kinnaur. I'll make it this October.

You'r really to the heaven. Last year I planned Lahul and Spiti valley, but unfortunatly I had to miss Spiti valley and just travelled Lahul Valley. I'm still very nostalgic about it.

Really wonderful pictures and wonderful place, its more beautiful than my expectation. Hopefuly will travel to it very soon.

Well pallavi this time it was your turn to eat the cake :) Considering my stupid routine this kinda journey definately falls under a dream come true variety. i must say u managed a very detailed and well written travelogue. with your dscription i was almost visualising my journey at least till chitkul and kalpa.i recognised many of the pics like bhimakali temple,chitkul etc thgh i dont particularly recall the last indian dhaba . so the roads did take a toll on your car huh i guess that made your journey even more adventerous :) i must say you are one lucky gal now its ma time to get jealous :) keep travelling n clicking

The travelogue is well written as you have given importance to the minor details. I feel sorry that you couldnot go to the Chandertal lake but going there by car is ....
