There are two stelae pavilions, one on each side of the pond near the temple. Erected between 1484 and 1780, the 82 stelae (stone slabs) bear the names, birth places, & achievements of 1,306 doctor laureates of the 3-year civil service examinations that were held between 1442 & 1779.
