Optina Pustyin, Shamordino, 2006
Optina Pustyn' and Shamordino are two monastaries south of Moscow, about 300 km, near Kaluga. Those two are men's - Optina and women's - Shamordino. They are quiet close to each other and Shamordino was found with Optina's help. In XIXc they become very famous as place where people could visit and talk with godly elders or 'starzi' on varius matters. Lev Tolstoy on his last journey was travelling to Shamordino, where he wanted to visit his sister, who were monk.
