In July 2004, I took a long weekend getaway to visit sites in Vancouver and northern Washington. While in Vancouver, I visited some general downtown sites, but the highlight was a trip to the University of British Columbia and its outstanding Museum of Anthropology, which features the works of the coastal First Peoples (natives), including one of my favorite sculptures, Bill Reid's "The Raven and the First Men". Afterwards, I following the coast of English Bay as I walked back downtown.
