The Tea Caravan Road

My wife and I traversed the ancient Tea Caravan Road from Yunnan Province to Xizang Autonomous Region (Tibet) of China from 17th May till 07th June, 2006. There were 26 others in the group, including 2 girls from China.

We travelled from Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan, to Fugong by bus. The bus had 30 short and narrow sleeping berths in it. Fugong is a small town beside the Nu Jiang River, close to the Myanmar border. From here, we travelled by 2 small buses to Bingzhongluo, a town near the Tibetan border. A small ... (more)

Your dedication benefits many
Dear Chin, I must admire your dedication in you and "sacrifices" you have to endure during the whole trip from Kunming to Lhasa to capture those wondrous moments and to share them with the rest of the world. Eventhough I was there on this trip I must say that the world need more travellers like you - so dedicated and generous. Only those who were there knew how much of time and endurance in the cold and wet conditions you have undergone.
