Above Crimea you can see the Dnieper River cutting through Ukraine. That&#39;s the river that we have been cruising down from Kiev. Everything you see below the Black Sea is Turkey. Over to the right or east, that&#39;s Russia. In general terms, the Ukrainians living to the east of the Dnieper &#38; down in Crimea speak and think Russian. To the west of the Dnieper, the people tend to speak Ukrainian and identify themselves more with western Europe. Part of Ukraine&#39;s problem today is this split personality: two languages and two allegiances. </div></nolayer></noembed>
