I arrived at about 11.30 at night at the Kings Quality bus station. I found a hotel nearby after getting hassled by lots of people and taxi drivers and settled in. The next morning I got up, got some cash and zipped my way to the minibus station to catch the 45 minute bus to Grenada.

Nicaragua is probably one of the poorer countries in the Americas, but IMO quite safe and the people are very, very friendly. I think that tourism is string to catch on and that it may become a mini CR – I am sure with the current investment ... (more)
