Argentina is probably the most European of South American countries. Buenos Aires could very well be one of the great cities of Europe with its wide boulevards, cafe culture and abundant nineteenth century heroic statuary. Bariloche in northern Patagonia, just across the border with Chile is simply a reproduction of a Swiss village, complete with chocolate, mountains and fondue.
