We got up and ate breakfast early the next morning for we had a long ride scheduled. Today we were to visit what I thought might be the most interesting of the many ancient ruins on our trip, Chavín de Huantar. We had a new Peruvian guide named Henri, who spoke English well, and cracked jokes about his country's political situation among other things on our trip to Chavín.
