Had a chance to go to New Orleans in July. I expected some damage from Hurricane Katrina but what I saw was devastating. Almost 70% of NO has been damaged and so many houses lost! It is yunbeleivable. The people are caught between a need to repair, a levee that may not hold and a new hurricane season. They can only nhope and pray that the levee holds and that the hurricane seasons over the next few years are mild otherwise any damage would be worse.
