The 38 km Warburton Rail Trail links the outer east Melbourne suburb of Lilydale with the town of Warburton.

It was built on the alignment of the former Lilydale-Warburton railway, which closed down in 1984.

The Trail is very popular with walkers, horseriders, dogs-on-leashes, and cyclists, and is a recognized tourist attraction. There are several entry/exit access points, allowing "step-on" and "step-off" access. ... (more)
