The north coast of Brazil is a great part of the world, however after Rio Fortaleza seemed second best to me. Riding beach buggies along deserted stretches of sand is a lot of fun and the colours are absolutely fantastic. I do prefer the coast between Natal and Recife, in particular Praia da Pipa, don't get me wrong however Fortaleza is certainly worth a visit.
