The handmade paper factory - one of Aurobindo Ashram's many creative revenue generating enterprises. Started in 1959, the factory is internationally known for its strong and beautifully coloured paper its many rural workers produce by hand. The outlet showcases colourful lanterns, wrappers, cards, envelopes, frames and myriad knick knacks brought together with bagasse, bamboo, ricehusk, gunny, straw, algae and tea leaves in paper pulp.
