Last year my wife and I hiked the first seven days of the Wonderland Trail, which circles Mt. Rainier in about 95 miles, from Longmire to Sunrise. When a chance to hike the rest of the trail this year came about I jumped at the chance to complete this wonderful trail. I was able to join two friends at Sunrise, who thru-hiked the whole trail, and continue with them to Longmire. The east side of Rainier was just as beautiful as others described.
