On Saturday 2 September Brisbane City was lit up with fireworks in celebration of the Riverfire Festival. We witnessed the occassion at the home of our good friends, Joe and Edna, in the penthouse on the 26th floor of a riverside apartment block. The most amazing sight was when the F111 flew directly over head, after-burners blazing. It felt as if we could almost reach up and touch its underbelly.
